Thanks for the information about your range/oven door issue, I will be glad to assist you. There could be a problem with the door springs, if your model has door springs.  Many newer models only have springs built into the door hinge, so the complete hinge would need replacing. Here are a couple things you should check: has the door been damaged, look at the section where the hinge goes into the door, if it shows any signs of bulging then the door will not close all the way (replace door). Look at the frame section where the hinge is attached if it is damaged or bulging then the frame section will need replacing (if available on your model).   If you model does have door springs check to see if they are broken or did they just come disconnected from the undercarriage area. I hope this helps, if you need additional help please reply with a complete model number of the range and more details, I will be happy to respond. Thanks Ron. I appreciate the list of things to check out. My 3 year old son kept opening the door a bit hard. Hopefully it's something simple, but it certainly is possible he bent the hinges or door itself.

Thank you for your question.

I will be happy to assist you. First, prepare a work surface to do the repair. Then use some old towels or blanket to pad the surface. Once you are ready click on the first image below and use those instructions to remove the door. Place the door outside down with the handle hanging over the edge. Ten remove the screws along the bottom of the door and two that secure the top of the door and handle. Now you can lift the inter door panel off. Next, clean the remaining adhesive off the frame. The metal frame has adhesive that keeps the two from rattling. When you install the new glass, you can use hi temperature silicone adhesive on the four spots. The silicone can be purchased from any auto parts store. Just make sure to get the black colored silicone. Put four dots of adhesive on the frame. Then you can reassemble the door.

I have found a video that will aid in the repair. Click here to view the video.

I hope this is helpful. Please let me know if you need further assistance.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
