How can I change the burner orifice to reduce the flame that is too high from the top surface burners?

A:

First, I recommend reviewing this installation guide to make sure that the range is properly installed: Installation Manual Pay particular attention to the guidelines for the gas supply requirements on page 4. The gas supply pressure should be no more than 14" of water column pressure.

If your range is hooked up to an LP gas supply and still has the natural gas orifices in the burners, then you will need to have a qualified installer properly install the LP conversion kit that has smaller orifices for the surface burners.

I do not recommend altering this gas range yourself. If the above tips do not help, then I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair the range.
