Q:

how do we get the screws out without breaking them ? 79078521401 Kenmore Gas range

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.
Sorry to hear of the issue you are having with these screws breaking when pulling them out, I know how frustrating that is to have occur.
Sometimes they can be a little stiff on the way out. I wouldn't use anything with a lot of torque for removing these like a drill, I would recommend using a nut driver hand tool for this type of hex head. When you go to remove it, you may have to remove it a little, then tighten it, then remove it, then tighten it; to work it loose. Sometimes a little squirt of penetrating oil can be a big help, just make sure you don't squirt too much and make a mess of things, just a little shot would help. If the screw feels really tight coming out, don't force it. Just do as mentioned above with tightening and loosening and tightening until you get it free. For the broken screws, they will more than likely need to be drilled or tapped at this point unless you have enough exposed threads to get a hold of it with vice grips or the like.
Hope these suggestions help and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com.
