Bad Controller(s) 79077513801 Kenmore Elite Gas range

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I can certainly assist you. I can't gurantee why the manufacture is replacing the board, but usually when there is a replacement there may have been a change in the board or the orginal was not available. I am not seeing anything in the model number about the control board going out. That would be a question for the manufacture. If you installed the board and it may be defective we do test and replace if it is defective. There will need to be tests made to determine if it is an issue. A service technicain will need to do the checks to determine if it is defective.

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when
  there is problems with the gas range.
Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Kenmore Gas range model number  79077513801.

Being that there is only one burner that you are having trouble with then would have to assume you need just the one "right rear" burner.   If more than one would go out then it may be the spark module.   I have the Right Rear ignitor/orifice assembly on the link below.   Just need to click please when ready.
