Oven not heating

It can be extremely frustrating when your oven does not want to heat up. I did some research and provided a link to a similar question and answer on our site. I hope this will shed a little more light on the issue until the Expert responds to your question in more detail within 24 to 48 hours.

I know that it can be very difficult to have issues with your gas oven. You did not indicate if the bake burner glow bar ignitor is glowing red or not. Based on your details the glow bar ignitor is likely too weak to cause the bake burner gas valve to open. If the bake ignitor does not pull enough electrical current when it is glowing the bake gas valve will not open. To remove the oven bottom, remove oven hold down screws at rear of oven bottom. Pull up at rear, disengage front of oven bottom from oven front frame, and pull the oven bottom out of the oven. Remove burner baffle so that the burner and ignitor can be observed. If you find the ignitor glowing and the bake burner never ignites, replace the bake ignitor. I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your range. The "F9" fault code is indicating the control has detected a problem with the Door latch motor assembly or latch motor circuit. The door latch motor and door latch switches will need to be checked. The door must be closed in order for the door switch to energize. Try pushing inwards on the door and keep tension on it while starting a clean cycle. If it continues to display F9 I recommend scheduling service. If you would like to do so, just click on this link: Sears Home Services . I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.
