Question and Answers

Q:

Oven takes hours before it gets hot 79075751103 Kenmore Gas range

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be more than happy to help with your range. Upon researching model 79075751103; gas ovens have a glow-bar oven igniter and a safety gas valve. Those components are connected in a series-type electrical circuit. When the glow-bar oven igniter is hot enough to safely ignite the gas, the safety gas valve opens. If the oven igniter doesn't glow, or if it glows but doesn't get hot enough to open the gas valve, then may need to be replaced. I have posted a link of the igniter to view the link click here.

I trust this information will help you, we appreciate your business thank for choosing Sears.

Q:

Kenmore oven is lightig but not getting up to temp.

A:

Thank you for your question.  I am sorry about the problem you are having with your Kenmore 790.75751103 Free Standing Gas Range.  If you smell gas then I would suggest you have the range repaired in your home by a Sears technician.  Here is the link: Sears Home Services Range Repair.   Does the Broil cycle work okay?  The broiler and bake share a valve so if both cycles have a problem I suspect the valve is the cause of the problem.  I suspect the bake burner is clogged and all of the burner holes are not lighting.   Can you visually check the size of the flame?  It should be blue.  If you see a lot of orange then the gas, air mix is not correct.  I hope this helps.  You can reply below with any additional details for further assistance.
