Thanks for contacting manage my life about your range/oven model 79075750100; sorry you are having a problem, I will be glad to assist you. The oven igniter should be pulling about 3.5 amps in order for it to allow the valve to open. It is often suggested to replace the igniter and valve together when either fails. I hope this helps, If you need more help reply with more details and I will be happy to respond. If you need to order parts here is a link to Sears Parts Direct. If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services. Ron H.

The link for a previous answer that Barbara H. provided in the above response probably explains the cause of your ignition problem in the oven. You likely have a weak glow bar igniter on the oven burner. I provided a theory of operation for that ignition system in the image below. If you want to fix this problem yourself, you can try replacing that bake burner igniter (part 5303935066). You can order that part from the Sears PartsDirect website.

Unplug the range and shut off the gas supply before accessing internal components. Remove the bottom oven panel and the flame spreader to access the igniter on the oven bake burner. Install the new igniter in the same position as the old one. You may need to cut the wire harness disconnect plug off of the igniter and/or range wiring harness and then connect the wires with ceramic wire nuts if the plugs are not compatible.

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
