This appears to be a duplicate question. I provided some instructions on manually unlocking your oven door in this answer thread: oven door lock .

You will probably need to replace that door lock assembly as described in that previous answer. Be sure that you unplug the range before accessing internal components.

If you need more help, reply with additional details.

Thanks for adding that model number. The door will not unlock if the control detects that the oven is still too hot. By now, that range should certainly be cooled off to room temperature. If the door still is not unlocked, I recommend that you try to start a new clean cycle and then cancel it after the oven starts heating. This may allow the door to unlock properly. If that does not work, then you could have a bad door lock assembly, a failed control board or a wiring failure in that circuit. A service technician will normally be needed to fix that type of failure. You can schedule one through this link: Sears Home Services .

If you want to diagnose and repair this failure yourself, reply with additional details about how the range reacts when you try to start a new self clean cycle or use any other oven functions.

When I try to restart a cleaning cycle, it allows me to enter 3 hours, then cancels out after 3-5 seconds. It won't let me turn on the broiler or bake either. If you have any self diagnosis instructions, it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Since the oven door is locked, the control will apparently not allow any oven functions to be started. You may be able to fix this problem by replacing that door lock motor assembly (part 5304449471). That component is on the back of the range. It is shown as KEY 89 on the parts image below. There is some risk involved with replacing that part on your own but it may fix the problem. You should be able to access that part by UNPLUGGING the range and removing the back panel. If you release the latch rod, you can probably unlock the oven door. There is a chance that the latch hook on the door got jammed. Once you release that latch rod, you can try to set the clean cycle and then clear it with that latch rod disconnected (and the oven door closed). This may reset that motor if it still works okay. If not, then the motor will probably need to be replaced. You may wind up having to replace the clock control board in the console as well. I recommend that you try to fix the problem by replacing that door lock motor assembly first. Be sure that you unplug the range before accessing internal components and replacing parts. You can order parts from the Sears PartsDirect.com website (see link below). If you need more help, let us know.

I understand your concern however without knowing the model number of your range I wouldn't know what type of range and oven control it might have. I did find one model that has that fits your symptom. I added an image below with the instructions on how to turn the display back ON.

Reply with the model number is this does not work for you.

I'm sorry the tip did not work. Based on your symptom it sounds like the clock/oven control has failed. I recommend disconnecting the power to the range and then wait one minute and then power it back up. The clock should flash 12:00 and if doesn't flash 12:00 then I would suspect a faulty clock/oven control.
