Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife.com. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your clean oven smoking. We are here to help. Based on what you said, I suspect this range has not been converted to use lp gas. Typically you will see large yellow flames with soot in the oven, and on top. Also, you will hear a loud hiss noise. That is the main indication of a natural gas range using lp gas. The part number for the lp conversion kit is 5303286386. I recommend you have a licensed LP Gas Technician install that conversion kit. Once the range is converted and adjusted properly, the flames will be a normal size and blue. You can use the link below to do that. I hope this helps.

To schedule a LP Gas Technician visit service live service live and follow the instructions on the website.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom and details the Bake igniter is most likely weak and not able to pull enough current to cause the gas valve to stay open.

Remove the oven bottom by removing the two thumb screws at the back of the oven floor. Start the oven and set it for the lowest temperature and the watch and monitor the bake igniter. If you find the flame shutting off while glow bar igniter is still glowing, replace the bake igniter.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

You can order the bake igniter part #5303935066 at Sears PartsDirect

The WB13K21 ignitor will work if it will mount to the burner properly. The ignitor has to be positioned on the burner so that it ignites the gas as soon as it comes out of the burner.

For safety reasons I advise against using the WB13K21 ignitor on your range.
