Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom and details the bake burner glow bar igniter is too weak to allow the oven gas valve from opening. If the bake igniter is too weak to pull enough current, the oven gas valve will not open or it may take a long time to open. By tapping on the oven gas valve to cause it to open indicates a weak bake igniter. Replace the bake igniter and your oven will ignite normally again. The oven floor is removable to access and replace the bake igniter. Disconnect the power cord from the power source before servicing. To remove the oven floor; remove the two screws located at the rear of the oven floor. Lift the back of the floor up and slide it back to disengage it from the front and lift it out. The bake igniter #5303935066 for Kenmore range model 790.75662103 can be ordered from Sears Parts Direct.
