Question and Answers

Q:

new bottom oven element will not heat up 79075503200

A:

Thank you for contacting Sears. I will be more than happy to assist you with your Kenmore range.

I can understand the frustration of your range not functioning properly, after researching model number 790.75503200. Based on your symptom and details I would suspect a faulty electronic oven control/clock assembly. The bake relay on the electronic oven control is not likely closing in order to complete the L1 (line one voltage) voltage supply to the bake element or the contacts in the bake relay are fried. Replacing the electronic oven control (EOC) will most likely resolve the failure

I hope you found this information useful. Again thank you for choosing Sears. We appreciate your business, have a great day.

Q:

how do you replace a ignitor switch on a stove, model #79075503200 79075503200 Kenmore Elite Range

A:

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there is trouble with the range.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Kenmore model number 790.75503200.

1.  Pull the plug on the range from the wall.  If you can't reach the plug,, turn the power off at the electrical box.

2.  Remove the burner outlets from the top of the stove and put in a safe location.  Underneath the the burners  you will find screws that need to be loosen to remove the burner base.

3.  Get ahold of the front corners of the range top to lift up.  If you can't lift the top, insert something like a putty knife between the top and the range base, then pry up each corner.  Once ou lift up the top, insert a shortpiece of lumber under the eleveated edge and prop the stove top open.

4.  Take out and remove the nut holding the orifice holder for the ignitor that  you are working on.  Remove the screw holding thie ignitor to the orifice holder and pull the wires free.

5.  snip off approximately 1/4 inch of old wire connector from the stoves wiring, using a crimp tool.  Then strip off an additional 1/4 inch of insulation off the wire.  Slide a new appropriately size connector onto the wiring and crimp it in place.

6.  Slide the wire connector onto the new ignitor.  Put the igniter into the orifice holder and replace the mounting screws.  Put the orifice holder back onto the orifice.  Secure it in place with the nut you removed with the adjustable wrench.

7.  Then do everything in reverse order to put it all back into place.

There are lots of videos that you can watch online that may be of help for this also.

If you have further questions please let me know.
