Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom and details I must assume the ignition ports are clogged with butter or cleaner. You may have to remove the burner cap and the burner base from the top in order to clean it. You may have to remove the all the burner caps and burner bases and remove the top to clean the orifice.

The "poof" is either happening when the bake burner shuts or when it ignites. This could be caused by a weak oven igniter, gas valve or an issue with the bake burner. This type of symptom should be diagnosed and repaired by a service technician.
