That link for a previous answer that James posted in the above response may help you with this failure. It is normal for all of the burners to spark when one burner knob is turned to the Lite position. I recommend that you unplug the range and clean that burner head on the burner that will not light. Check the igniter electrode for a spill. Clean it and let it dry completely. That may fix your problem. If not, then you may need to replace that igniter electrode on that burner. A wiring failure or a bad spark module could also cause that problem. You can order parts from this page if necessary: Kenmore Gas Range Model 790.17519400 . Be sure that you unplug the range and shut off the gas supply before accessing and replacing internal components. Here is a link for a brief repair video that shows how to replace the burner tube that houses that igniter electrode: Gas Range Burner Tube Assembly Replacement .

This information may help you fix that burner ignition problem. If you need more assistance, reply with additional details.

If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Fist; make sure the lever on the gas pressure regulator has not been tripped to the OFF position. If the lever is in the ON position, I suspect a weak bake igniter.

I added an image of the pressure regulator and the shut off lever.

This may be the issue. If not, please reply and I will be glad to assist you further.
