If the range has been moved or the back of the range has been accessed recently, I recommend that you check that service cut-off valve on the regulator that is shown in the first image below. If that switch is off, the burners will work but the oven will not get any gas flow.

If you find no problems with that switch, then you will probably need to replace that igniter. The theory of operation for that ignition system is shown in the second image. It is likely that the igniter is weak and the minimum current (3.2 amps) is not flowing through the circuit to the safety gas valve. If you happen to have a clamp-on ammeter, you can check that current draw through the circuit. Most people don't have that tool. Replacing the igniter will normally fix your problem given the details that you provided.

You can order parts from the Sears PartsDirect website. The part number for the igniter is 316489402.

Be sure that you unplug the range and shut off the gas supply before accessing internal components.

If you need more help, reply with additional details.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Thank you for your question.

•One of the igniter switches has failed and it will require that you replace the switch harness that includes all the switches.

• To replace the switch harness for the ignitor you will need a few tools to remove the top of the range and the front panel where the control knobs are located. The igniter switches are behind the knobs on the front panel.

Before do this repair make sure you Disconnect power from the range.

Note! some of these metal panels have sharp edges and so be careful not to cut yourself

•I have included the procedure for changing the wire/switch harness below.

I hope this helps.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

• The part number for the harness is: 316219018 and you can order this from Sears Parts Direct .
