I checked for any recalls or revised parts for that model of range and the power burner. I do not see any recalls or parts revisions. I am not aware of any widespread common issue with that power burner not igniting properly. You may have a component problem that is causing this failure. I recommend that you have a service technician examine the burner and repair this ignition problem. Here is a link for the Sears Service website: Sears Home Services .

The resources that we have at our disposal as Experts on the Manage My Life website enable us to give you the safest and most accurate information about appliance problems. That is why you were referred to us. In this situation, your range will likely require service by a technician since there are no known safety or design issues with that burner on your model of range.
