Q:

Kenmore wall oven control board bad again? 790.47903604

A:

Thanks for contacting SearsPartsDiret.com. I am sorry you are having a problem with your range again.

The fault code "F10" indicates a runaway oven temperature. This could be caused by a faulty electronic oven control or temperature sensor. The oven temperature sensor can be removed and tested for resistance and compared to the RTD scale in the image below. At room temperature; the sensor should measure approximately 1100 Ohms of resistance. If the oven temperature sensor tests Okay; the electronic oven control will need to be replaced. If you purchase the control board from SearsPartsDirect then I recommend calling 1-888-205-0966 most parts have a 1 year return policy. You may have received a defective part from us, we will replace it.

Thanks for being a valued member of Sears!

Thank you. That's a good start. In regard to the second link, about a Range, which of the boards/parts may need to be replaced in the dual wall oven? Where are they located? Has there been any sort of recall?

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

Based on your symptom and details it sounds like it has a faulty relay control board or a faulty electronic oven control board. I added an image below with the information that a technician would use to assist diagnose the failure. The input and output voltages will need to be checked in order to diagnose which control is fault. I strongly suggest calling a service technician to properly diagnose and repair your oven if you do not have experience and feel safe and confident in making live voltage measurements.

The electronic control boards can not be returned once installed. Calling and setting up a service appointment to have a technician diagnose and repair your wall oven will likely save you money. Also, there has not been any recalls.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

A:

The part number you received should be the correct motor for your oven. We don't have step by step instructions for replacing the convection fan motor.

Basically you need to disconnect the power to the oven and remove the cover and fan blade from inside the oven. Remove the oven from the wall and remove the rear panel on the oven to access the fan motor. Remove the motor and install the new motor. You won't know whether the motor fits or not until you get the original motor removed so you can compare the motors.
