Question and Answers

Q:

How do I fix my oven? 79047784405 Kenmore Electric oven

A:

Thank you for your question. I'm sorry you are having this problem with the oven. This type of problem could be caused by a tripped breaker, the control or the thermal fuse. First, check to see if there is a tripped breaker. If the breakers seem ok, this would lead to a failed control or thermal fuse. The most likely problem will be the fuse. This fuse is located behind the oven. The oven will need to be pulled out and the back cover will need to be removed to access this fuse. Be sure to disconnect the power first. The thermal fuse will have a reset button in the middle that can be pushed to reset it (see image). If the oven still won't heat, then it will lead to the control. I hope this will help you. If you would like more assistance, reply to this thread and I will be glad to assist you further. If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services.
