Is it not possible for this to be a Range Thermal Cutoff Switch problem, or even a Temp Probe problem and have the panel return a F1 error? I'm trying to solve this issue without having to buy unneccessary replacement parts. If it is a $37 switch issue, I don't want to replace the $387 panel to find that out. I've done some research on this error, and it has indicated that it could be any of those things.

I provided a parts image for this area of the range in the image below. I assume that you shut off the circuit breaker for the range and lifted the top to access the control from the back side of the console. The EOC/Clock should be held by the 4 screws on the corners. You may also have the remove the bracket (Key 23 and 23A). If that bracket is holding the EOC/Clock in the console, you may be able to just remove the top or the bottom part of that bracket.

I hope that this information helps. If you need more assistance, let us know.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
