Good Tuesday morning to you... Self cleaning sometimes plays havoc with ovens. I found a link that addresses the general issue (yet, their broiler does work). I'm hoping that this link will still give you a vague direction that you might follow. You will still be receiving an expert response within a day or two. I hope this link is helpful to you and enjoy your morning

I know that it can be very frustrating to have issues with your range. You could have a wiring failure or a failure in the electronic oven control board that is causing this oven heating problem. I recommend that you unplug the range and check the wiring connections on that electronic oven control board in the console of your range. Remove the upper back panel to access that control board (with the range unplugged ). Check the red, orange, yellow, blue and brown wires on that control board. Check the electronic oven control board for any burnt wires or melted components (burned spots). If the control board is apparently damaged, it will need to be replaced. You can order that electronic oven control board from the Sears Parts Direct website. I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Understood and appreciated, but can you tell me if there were or are any recalls from the manufacturer on this model oven/range; or how I can find out about such recalls. From the feedback received it appears that the "Self Cleaning Cycle" has a history of creating such issues. Thanks and look forward to your reply.

Thank you for your reply. I did the additional research that you requested, but did not see a recall or rework order on this specific model. We do have a recall department that you can try. Their number is 1-800-659-7026. Please let me know if you need anything else.
