Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about your Kenmore range model 79046599503. I am so sorry to hear the door doesn't close completely and the oven light stays on.  I know that has to be affecting the internal temperature of the oven when you use it. I will be happy to help you with this.

In this case, it sounds like the oven hinges may be worn and are not holding the door in place. It is also possible that the door gasket is damaged and is not making even contact with the facing of the oven. I recommend you inspect these parts and replace them if needed. I have included the part numbers in case you need to order them.

Hinge -318024749 (Order two and replace both sides so that they wear evenly.)

Hinge Receptacle  - 318342400 (Again, order two and replace both sides.)

Door Seal - 318053130

If you prefer, you can have a technician complete the repair for you. You can set up service at www.SearsHomeServices.com or by calling 1-800-469-4663. I hope this answers your questions. If you need further assistance, please repost your question with additional details. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.
