Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

If you're speaking of the thermal cut-out switch located at the back of the range, you will need to disconnect the range from power supply and then slide the range out. Remove the large panel from behind the range to access and replace the thermal cut-out switch.

The switch will have only two wires connected to it and does not matter which two terminals the two wires will re-connect to on the new switch. I added an image below with the instructions for removing the rear panel and I circled the thermal cut-out switch. According the model and wiring diagram, the thermal cut-out switch will have two Violet wires attached to it. The switch is likely fastened with one or possibly two screws.
