Q:

Kenmore electric range 79046583500

A:

Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com and being a valued member. It is unfortunate to hear that you are having issues with your oven and I do understand your frustration. Glad to help out. I'm looking at your model number 79046583500 and since you already replaced the element and the controller, I recommend that you verify if you are getting power to the bake element is getting power to the element. If you are getting power to the element it may be the element. If you are not getting power you may still have an issue with the controller, being that the controller controls the ovens functions. Here is a link that will help test the element. I trust this information will help you.

Thanks for your help. I get power thru the element, I replaced the thermo sensor and that changed nothing so I put the old one back in, I then replaced the control board and the broil element works now, could it be the thermo sensor is actually bad and I should get another one? Wayne.

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The control panel has a flat ribbon connector which is part of the new control panel which should simply connect to the P5 connector on the electronic oven control board.  I added an image below of the wiring diagram if needed. It will have wire colors and the oven control board will have each terminal labeled.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
