Question and Answers

Q:

how do I remove range model # 790.46579400...

A:

I see you are in need to remove Range so you can access the counter top and adjoin the cabinets, With an owner's manual it can be quite difficult to do so. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, I researched your model number and found your manual. I attached the link below. Hope this helps! http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/owner_manuals/3815/KENMORE-Slide-In-Range-Electric-L0406481?brand_name_search=790.46579400+

Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to remove the range to complete the remodeling.

  • This range is a slide in model and should not be attached to the countertop.

  • Remove the storage drawer and locate the leveling legs and adjust then down so the range will rise up off the counter. In some installations the installer may have put some kind of sealer between the counter and the cook top. This may require you to use a putty knife type tool to release the counter from the range top.

  • Once loose you should be able to slide the range out of its location far enough to unplug the power cord behind the range and continue to slide the range out.

I hope this will help you will your range removal.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.
