I'm looking at your model number 79046379400 and from your description I would suspect an issue with the thermostat being that this is the item that controls the blowers function. Q:

How do I clean between the oven door glass on my Kenmore range?

A:

The oven door will need to be removed & some screws taken out in order to access the inside of the oven door glass. Please see the images provided that explain how to remove the oven door. After removing the oven door place it handle side up on a protected counter top. Have someone secure with the oven door down off the edge of the counter so you can access & remove the oven door handle screws # 10. Now remove the glass trim #3. You can now lift off the oven door glass & handle with trim for cleaning.

A:

The first image shows how to remove the door and disassemble it on that type of range. The second image shows how to take apart the stainless steel version of that door. This may help you access and clean that inner door glass. NOTE: That door is heavy. Two people may be needed to safely lift if off of the range and place it on a padded surface. If you need more help, let us know.

Q:

sears kenmore range

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The "F1" fault code will display due to one of the following conditions:

  1. Shorted keypad.
  2. The oven control board/clock assembly internal checksum may have become corrupted.
  3. The oven control/clock assembly has sensed a potential runaway oven condition. Control may have a shorted relay, or the oven temperature sensor probe may have gone bad.
If the "F1" fault code reappears after turning the power source off and back on after a few minutes, the electronic oven control/clock assembly will need to be replaced. If the "F1" does not come back on until you turn the oven, then it could have a faulty oven temperature sensor probe. The oven temperature sensor probe is located inside the oven in the upper right rear corner or upper left rear corner. The sensor can likely be removed from inside the oven cavity and tested with an Ohm meter for resistance. At room temperature, the oven temperature sensor should measure approximately 1100 Ohms. If the oven sensor measure approximately 1100 Ohms, the electronic oven control/clock assembly will need to be replaced.

The clock/oven control is about $231.00 and the oven temperature sensor is about $30.00.

I added an image below with the procedure of accessing the electronic oven control and the oven temperature sensor. NOTE: Disconnect the range from the power source before servicing.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.
