oven model # 79045799102 after self clean displayed f9 then f01 how to troubleshoot

Error codes during or after a self clean cycle would claim our attention. I did some preliminary checking and located a similar question for the F9 error. I attached below. The expert will review this model and respond to verify and to offer help with the f01 error. If you would like to schedule a technician to help diagnose and make necessary repairs, I also added the link to Sears Home Services. I hope this is fixed for you soon.

The F9 code indicates that the control board in the console detects a problem with the oven door lock assembly. The F1 indicates that you have a problem with the oven temperature sensor probe or that you have a failed clock control board.

You can shut off the house circuit breakers for the range and access that clock control board in the console. You should be able to access that control by pulling the range out and lifting up that cook top. You can then access that control from the back of that console. You can check the resistance through that sensor circuit from the connection on the clock control board. That sensor circuit is normally connected to the control board through violet or white wires. The resistance through that sensor circuit should be around 1100 ohms at room temperature. If that sensor resistance is normal, then you will probably need to replace that clock control board. If the resistance through that circuit is high or "open", then you can measure the resistance directly at the sensor as shown in this brief repair video: Oven Sensor Testing . The image below shows how to access that sensor in the oven cavity. If that sensor resistance is normal then you may find a thermal fuse or circuit breaker in that sensor circuit. That component is normally on the top of the oven cavity under the cook top. That component may have a red reset button that be pressed to fix this problem. If it is electrically "open" and cannot be reset then it will need to be replaced.

These tips may help you fix that F01 problem. The F9 is normally caused by a problem with the oven door lock circuit. If that code appears after you resolve the F01 code failure then you may need to replace that oven door lock assembly. Be sure that you shut off the house circuit breakers for the range to completely disconnect electrical power before accessing internal components.

You can view a parts diagram for the range and order parts on this page: Kenmore Range 790.45799102 Parts .
