Instructions

1
Pull the range away from the wall and unplug the power cord or turn off the range breaker in your home's service panel.

2
Open the oven door and remove the screws under the front portion of the glass top.

3
Close the oven door and lift the top. Hold the top up using a sturdy object, such as a stick.

4
Remove the cross braces from the underside of the top by removing the screws securing them.

5
Lift the glass top up and off the range. Place it upside down on a sturdy surface.

6
Remove the screws securing the brackets on the underside of the front and back portions of the glass-top panel. Install the brackets on the new glass-top panel, securing them using the screws that were removed.

7
Lift the new glass-top panel onto the range, fitting the brackets on the rear of the panel into the slots on the underside of the control panel housing. Elevate the new panel using the same manner as the old one.

8
Align the burner cross braces and secure them using the mounting screws that were removed.

Q:

What does the error code F30 mean?

A:

The F30 error indicates an open oven sensor connection, bad sensor or bad EOC (Electronic Oven Control). To test the oven sensor you will need to:

  • Disconnect electrical power.
  • Pull the oven away from the wall to gain access to the back panel. There are several screws that need to be taken out to remove the back panel. Once the back panel has been removed follow the directions on the illustrated instruction sheet I have included (see below).
  • Ohm the wires leading into the sensor (with at least one wire removed). Remember to reconnect the wires.
    • If the oven sensor does not match the values on the chart below replace the oven sensor.
    • If they do match you will need to trace out the wiring from the oven sensor to the EOC.
  • Ohm the wires down to the oven sensor.
    • If it does not ohm the same as the sensor the wiring is bad.
    • If it ohms the same as or close to the same as the sensor chart the EOC will need to be replaced.

I have included a link you may use for parts purchases, please click here; Sensor probe Sears Parts Direct

Or if you need the EOC, click here; Sears Parts Direct

If you require further assistance please resubmit question with details of the checks you have made. I will be looking forward to helping you again in the near future.

I've done all that, replaced the controller, temp probe and the thermo switch on the back of the oven.

Thank you for your question.

I can understand you concern when the catalytic converter for the self clean cycle.

Sometimes that ceramic honey comb converter will fall out of the oven ceiling vent. Usually you can untwist ( turn) the holder and remove it and then put the converter back inside the vent holder and re-install.

If it is broken you will need to replace the complete part with a new one.

The part number for this part is: 318317100 and you can purchase it from: Sears Parts Direct .

You range will work fine with out the converter. All if does is help reduce odor when self-cleaning the range.

If you are having a problem with re-installing it you may want to have a technician install it for you.

I hope this will help.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.
