Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to know what happened to the range control and why it is flashing F13.

Without the model number of the range I can only give you some general information.

Sometimes power outages depending on what happen can damage electronic controls.

I would suggest finding the circuit breaker in the power box and turning the power off for the range for at least 1 minute.

Then restore power to the range and push the cancel button and then set the clock for the time of day and watch to see if the beeping and the F13 error returns.

If it does you will need to replace the electronic control board on the range.

Please reply with the model number of the range and I will be happy to give you information pertaining to that model number.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

I have a Kenmore Stove Model #79045074400. The door is locking automatically and the stove is beeping constantly. It will stop when unplugged but starts again and beeps continuously. It is driving everyone crazy. Is their anyway to disable the lock - or the sensor.

Thank you for your question on the range Debra. It sounds like you may have control board problem or a door lock switch problem. Seeing as this is a slide in range and the door lock is at the back it is not easy to get to it. Are you getting any error code in the clock display? It would be some kind of F code like F1 or F10 or something like that. Please reply with that information if you are getting an error code. It sounds like you may have to have a technician come out and you will have to turn the circuit breaker off while you are not using the range so it will not drive you crazy, until the technician can get there. Please let me know what you find out. Sam A.

This is actually a friends stove and she speaks Spanish so I was trying to help her out. I looked for some kind of code when I looked at her stove, but did not see one. I don't think they have the money for a service call. The stove is about 2 years old - can anyone tell me if they still have a service warranty on it.? I don't think they know if they bought an extended warranty or not.

Thank you for the update Debra. If the stove is over a year old there will be no warranty unless the purchased a protections agreement from Sears. If you have yourself of them call 1-800-4MY-HOME and give them the phone number that the appliance was purchased under if they the original owner's the agent can tell them if it is under warranty and or if it has a protections agreement. If they discover it is not under any warranty they may choose to purchase a pre paid Service Smart agreement for $239.99 + tax and they can have the range repaired by a technician. If they cannot afford service they would have to spend almost that much in parts once we figure out exactly what is wrong with the glass top slide-in range. Please let me know if there is anything else I can do to help you help them. Sam A.

Based on your details the symptom indicates a voltage supply failure or a floating Neutral. I recommend locating both circuit breakers dedicated for the range and flip both breakers OFF and ON 2-3 times and recheck operation.

Its not likely a lack of voltage but the loss of the Neutral line. It could have loose neutral line in the range or in your electrical supply. This type of failure will likely require an electrician and possibly an appliance technician.

The voltage supply and neutral will need to be tested while under a load with a volt meter. The volt meter should measure 110-120 volts between red and white and between black and white and it should measure 220-240 volts when measuring between red and black. I have included images of the electrical data for the range, and the instructions for disassembling the control board.

I do not recommend checking voltages unless you have experience and feel safe and confident in doing so, otherwise I recommend calling a service technician.
