Thanks for the inquiry and information about your oven with the F 10 error code.
Based on the information that you had a technician out for repair and are still experiencing the same issue, I strongly suggest calling for a re-check of the appliance and that you not attempt any DYI repairs as this will void any warranty of previous repair.
I have added an image of the Suggested reasons for the F 10 code you have experienced.

Technician is a good friend of mine and we have ordered relay board # 316443910 as the other recommended possibility in the image you presented, which me have already been referring to. We appreciate your imput and do you agree that relay board would be the next step? As you are already aware, these parts are not cheap.

Hello Lamar, My suggestion to call the tech back was based on the technician being a qualified, trained technician from Sears, as Sears guarantees there repairs.
Yes parts are expensive and when you purchase them they are non-returnable. Have you retried the calibration, this is important to proper operation. What method of calibration was use? Has all the related wiring been checked?
Please reply with details.

Thanks Ron for your reply and patience. The lower oven is ok. When upper oven was set at 350 - 400 degree it would come up to proper temp and cycle off and on for 20 - 40 minutes, then begin to beep and display f-10. We replaced sensor, same problem.rReplaced control board # 316460201 and calibrated according to tech sheet, doing same.

Hi Lamar; I have spoken to a Rep. For the product and here is the suggestion for next step.
There is a possibility that the harness of the sensor is damaged on the control end, the suggestion is to hard wire the sensor and eliminate the harness.
Let me know the results of this and we will work from there.

Thanks Ron, are you saying to cut the connections where the sensor plugs in and to wire nut or check where the sensor wires connect to the control board?

A:

Hi Lamar, the suggestion is to remove the harness connector on the sensor and the connector the sensor plugs into from the control and hard wire them. (Not at the control.) Use a good ceramic wire nut to splice the wires. They seem to think the harness could be damaged from overheating. I hope this helps! Ron H.

Q:

Oven shuts off 79042003605 Kenmore Pro Wall oven

Q:

Kenmore pro double oven beeping and not holding temperature. 79042003605 Kenmore Pro Wall oven

A:

Thank you for your inquiry on your Kenmore Wall Oven, Model: 790.42003605. From reviewing the details on your model, I have linked up a couple of videos on similar model of ranges, which should be able to take you step by step into troubleshooting what can be causing the oven to malfunction. The link is found below. My input on the issue would be that you might have a malfunctioning temperature probe. The temperature probe regulates the temperature in the oven then send messages to the control board to either stop the temperature at the current heat or to keep heating till it reaches the desired heat.

Safety Warning: Before beginning the repair, disconnect the direct power supply to the range to prevent the risk of injury or any electrical shock.

If you don’t feel comfortable or confident in this repair, then you can have it repaired at home by a sears technician. I have the included a link to the website: Sears Home Services or call 1-800-469-4663

I hope this answered your question. Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com, and have yourself a wonderful day.

I should have stated that the oven sensors were tested and test just fine. I do have 2 new sensors and I replaced one to see if it made a difference but it did not. The new sensors used were part no. 316217002 but were not purchased from Sears. They look identical with the same part number. I have read where some people cut the factory connectors and hard wire but I feel the ovens are getting good connection and good signal from the sensors. (wire harness connectors seem fine) The beeping and seeking of temp as can be seen in my you tube video usually starts after the oven reaches its max set temp and starts to regulate the temperature, that seems to be where the problem begins. It is the top oven only, which is the one used most often. Sometimes there is a lot of beeping and sometimes it only beeps a few times over a 30 minute cooking event. The oven never stops heating but just never regulates properly. what other possible parts would you recommend to replace or would you try hard wiring the sensors first? Thanks

UPDATE: I had not changed out the lower oven temp sensor so I took the old existing lower oven temp sensor and moved it to the upper oven. Also moved the new upper oven sensor to the lower oven. I ran a test on the upper oven with the old lower oven sensor and the oven operated like it should.(no beeping and proper temp regulation) So even with a new oven temp sensor that tested fine I still had a problem. Only thing I know to do is order some more temp sensors? This time I will buy from Sears. I will add another post to update. As an owner of this oven I was never told of the control settings that needed to be done. A suggestion to anyone having problems is to reset your ovens as if you had replaced the control board. It seemed to make a difference on our unit. Those directions are within the other Q and A for this oven. I will post again with an update so others will know the ending of our issues. Thanks
