Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

I do not know of any adhesive that would with stand the heat or force of the stainless steel warping up. Even if you could find some adhesive the trim would have to be removed and then it would not likely ever sit flat again. The only way to correct the problem and to have it look right is to replace the cook top glass. I see that the cook top glass has a 5 year warranty against thermal shock and cook top element failures if the cook top is installed, operated and maintained according to the instructions supplied with the product. The warranty may cover the stainless trim lifting. I recommend calling Sears and see if they would replace the glass top under the 5 year warranty. You will be responsible for the service fee and labor. The labor is included in the service fee. I recommend calling 1-800-469-4663 and asked them if the warranty covers the stainless steel trim lifting off the glass top.

The contractor specification sheet for this cook top is shown in the image below. This cook top needs a minimum breaker size of 40 amps as shown below. The exact amp draw rating is not available. The Kilowatt rating for the cook top is provided. These are the specifications that are normally needed for installation.
