LED lights have pieces missing on some numbers 79041032800 Kenmore Elite Dual fuel range

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com. I understand how frustrating it can be when lights on the display are missing or fading away. It appears that the manufacturer has substituted the electronic control board for this unit. This may be the cause of the malfunction. I recommend contacting out technical specialists at 1-800-469-4663 to get more information on this malfunction.
If you have further questions please let me know. Thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

Q:

How do I install my Kenmore dual fuel range model 790.41032800 that will not slide in due to clearance issues?

A:

The only specifications and directions that we have for the installation of the electrical supply and gas line for this slide in range is what is shown in the installation guide. According to your details, you already have this document. The images below show the pertinent information from the installation instructions that cover the gas and electric supply for the range. The junction box or outlet for the range should normally be installed by an electrician. It needs to be installed in a location that will not interfere with the range sliding into place. You may not be able to mount a floor outlet under the range that will meet these needs. A junction box with a direct wire connection to the terminal block on the back of the range is often used on this type of range. The junction box is usually mounted to the wall behind the range. Local and national electrical codes normally govern how the range can be connected to the 240 volt electrical power. The gas supply connection must also be installed so that it does not interfere with the range sliding into place. Since this is a slide-in range, the gas supply shut off valve is often positioned inside a cabinet beside the range. A flexible connector gas line then runs to the back of the range. Enough slack must be present in the flexible connector gas line and the electrical wiring to slide the range out for service. I hope that this information better explains the concepts of installing this type of range. If you are not certain of how to properly install the range using the information in the installation instructions and this additional explanation then I recommend that you call a professional installer to install the range.
