Q:

some lights on control pannel out 79041013800 Kenmore Elite Electric range

A:

Thank you for choosing sears I would be happy to help you with your range. Upon researching model 79041013800; if some of the lights on the control panel on the sides are not functioning then you may have replace the control panel. The screen in the center is part of the control board in back of the panel and the lights on the sides of the panel are built in to the panel. I have posted a link below of the control panel assembly.

I trust this information will help you, have a great day.

Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife.com. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble with your range not working. We are here to help. Based on the symptom, I suspect there is a voltage problem to the range. To verify that is the problem, unplug the range and measure the voltage at the outlet with a multimeter. The voltage should read 240 vac. If there is 240 vac at the outlet, the thermal fuse may have tripped. The first image below shows the thermal fuse on the schematic. The third image show how to open the range, so you can access the control panel. Now, after the thermal fuse is found, measure it with a multimeter. The fuse should read about zero ohms. If the fuse is bad, it will have to be replaced. However, if the fuse tests good, I recommend checking  the power supply with the multimeter. I hope this helps.
