Thanks for your inquiry about a knob for your Whole House fan, after researching I cannot find a replacement knob. I did however find that if you replaced the Speed control a new knob is provided. I know this is not what you want but unfortunately it may be your solution. I will provide a link to the new control; Speed Control

Thanks Ron H.

I know that it is very important to have the right parts for your fan. However, due to the age of the unit, these parts are no longer being manufactured. I was not able to find a compatible part for it either. You may want to consider purchasing a new fan. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

I read this just a few min ago. Also the fuse appears to be ok. I remember the switch was being a little tricky awhile back. Could the switch be not working correctly? I hear it making contact. Also I dont hear any humming in the motor either.

Thank you for your question on the whole house fan.

I would first suggest checking the circuit breakers in the power box to make sure you have power going to the fan, if you can figure out which circuit it is. .

If you are sure it has 120 volts then I would turn the power off and remove the switch to see if you have any broken wires or bad connections in the electrical box for the switch.

If you have a volt/ohm meter and you feel comfortable using it, you can check for continuity through the switch and or check for 120 volts going into and out of the switch to the motor.

Please let me know what you find out and we can continue to troubleshoot with what information you have.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Thank you.

Sam A.
