Q:

Why does this Kenmore Humidifier #154120 keep flashing 20?

A:

I am having the exact same problem with my 758.154080. It's the second one I've bought and I'm really frustrated. Hope we get answers!

A flashing 20 indicates the room humidity is less then 20%. This humidifier will read between 25% - 95%. The humidity level is lower then it will read. As the humidifier runs and brings the humidity level up, it should give the humidity reading. If you need more assistance, please resubmit your question, with additional details.

I have two Kenmore Quitet Comfort Humidifier (model 758.144115) with 11 gallon output. Both units are greater than 5 years old. Both system fans work and humidify the air. However, the external humidity reading flashes 25%. The manual says that means that the air is below 25% even after running continuously for days. I have an external humidity meter that shows the humidity in the house is near 40%. Does the humidity meter on the humidifiers need to be serviced? Is there anything I can do?

Q:

humidifier 758.144115

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for being a valued member.

The floats are secured to the base via the float support and a screw. If the larger float is crooked, the float support could need to be secured via the screw, or the tab on the support or the base are damaged, not allowing it to secure properly.

You will need to disassemble the unit to see what's damaged. If you need the float support, the part number is 830496, and if you need the base, the part number is 830484.

I hope this helps and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com. We appreciate your business.

Thank you for your question.

I can understand wanting to clean the fan area of the humidifier.

The reason you are having a problem is that the manufacture does not want you to remove that cover.

They are using a #6 Hi/Lo tamper resistant screw.

I do not know where you can find a driver without going on-line and search for one.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.
