I can understand how frustrating it can be to receive damaged parts for the grill. The metal tabs are used to attaching the grill head to the legs. If they are damaged or weakened in any way it does compromise the integrity of the grill. I would suggest that you order a new leg as soon as possible and switch them out. It should be cover under the warranty, so you will not be charged for it. To order the new leg, just click on this link: Sears Parts Direct . I hope this helps. If you need further assistance, please reply to this thread. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

Hi Anne - I completely agree about replacing the legs. I have not finished assembly and will wait for parts. So the grill itself is manufactured by Char Broil (for Kenmore). So, I called the number in the manual (1-800-241-7548) to get new parts. I spoke with a Char Broil rep and they opened a Case. Unfortunately, the information I provided them about the serial number is not valid in their system so I can't get the parts. The serial number for the unit (on the rating label) is in a format like this: SRUxxxxxxxxxxx - xxxxxxA. They said the serial # should start with a G and consist of ~16 digits. Maybe you can advise on this well...

Hi Anne and Shimon--- I had the same problem with the Serial number with my kenmore grill model # 415.166106210 I needed a replacement part which was damaged when I opened the box. I called the number in the manual (1-800-241-7548) The serial number for the unit on the rating label is in a format like you said (SRUxxxxxxxxxxx - xxxxxxA)..and they told me the same thing. " the serial # should start with a G and consist of 16 digits. " It drove me CRAZY!.. I had to fax them a copy of my receipt to validate my warranty.. I have to say the Char Broil Rep was very Patient and understanding, But Sears has to fix this problem.. I'm Very Disappointed with Sears.. They are Not what they use to be!!...

Thank you for your question on the Charbroil/Kenmore grill.

From all that you have done the only thing I can think of is the true infrared burners are not working correctly. This is hard to believe that all three burners would be a problem at the same time.

If the side burner has a good flame then we know that the pressure is okay from the tank.

Since you have blown air through the burners and the manifold and through the valves I do not know what more you can do to remedy the problem.

Since the burners have a ten years warranty I would suggest replacing the burners. If you have a receipt for the grill you can call 1-800-241-7548 Charbroil and with that receipt they will send you new burners for the price of shipping.

I hope this will be of some help.
