Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

In order to provide any model specific instructions I will need to know the model number of your Kenmore gas range.

The model numbers are typically located above or below the oven cavity opening on the oven frame. If it has a broiler drawer or storage drawer, the model and serial number tag could be located on the oven frame behind the broiler/storage drawer.  If you could supply me with that information I will be happy to assist you further.

That is the Model number taken from the tag on the range. These are the Model numbers that appear on the manuals that I received with the unit. Hope this will be sufficient to indentify the range. 665.72002/72004/72012/72014/75002/75004/75012/75014 665.72022/72024/72029/75022/75024/75029 665.72023/75023/75842/75843/75844/75849

Q:

I cleaned my Kenmore Gas Range last night and today it is showing an error message E1-F5 and it will not unlock. How do I get my oven unlocked?

A:

An oven is a very important appliance in a household so it can be frustrating when it's not working properly. I have researched your question and found someone had the same problem with their range. I have provided the link below. I hope this helps!

A:

The E1-F5 error code indicates that the door latch is not operating. It is likely that a failed door latch mechanism is causing this problem. You could also have a problem with the wiring or the control board. TO get the door unlocked, you can unplug the range , shut off the gas supply and access the door latch mechanism on the back of the range as shown in the image below. Unhook the latch rod and you should be able to unlock the oven door. Check the wiring connections on the door switch and the electronic control board in the console of the range. If you do not find any wiring problems, then you can try to fix this problem yourself by replacing the door latch assembly (part W10107820). You can order this part from the Sears PartsDirect website. If you replace the door latch assembly and still have the same problem then you may need to replace the control board. Be sure that you unplug the range and shut off the gas supply when accessing internal components.

If you need more help, submit additional details and we will assist you further.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Q:

What does fault code E1-F3 indicate on my Kenmore gas range?

A:

The E1-F3 fault code is indicating a shorted oven temperature sensor probe. The oven sensor probe will need to be removed and disconnected from inside the oven cavity and tested with Ohm meter. The oven sensor probe should have a resistance reading of about 1080 ohms at room temperature. If the oven sensor measures around the 1080 ohms, the sensor harness could be shorted somewhere between the oven sensor and where it connects on the oven control board. Oven sensor probe part# W10181986.
