A:

Thank you for choosing sears I would be happy to help you with washer. Upon researching model WTW7320YW0: it sounds like the electronic control board may need to be replaced. The electronic control board governs the functions of the washer including when it powers on and off, when the control board fails it cause the washer to not power on. I have posted a link below of the electronic control board.

I trust this information will help you, have a great day.

Q:

What makes my Philips 47 inch HDTV lose it’s picture while watching it?

A:

I assume because of the screen size and age of the set that this is a Philips LCD flat panel. First thing to do is to make sure it is the TV. First check the menu of the TV. If it is there then try another input with the same source, and then try another source altogether. If it is a loss of video from the TV, it normally takes out the menu as well.

There are two types of loss of video and on screen graphics with audio staying. Since this is an LCD, the backlight has to be on to illuminate the LCD panel. If it shuts down then no light will pass through and you will get a black screen. This is noticeable because the brightness drops to nothing when this happens. The cause of this could be a faulty inverter board or poor supply from the power supply board. I would not suspect a lamp right off the bat because I tend to see them fully fail instead of the intermittent nature you described. The other cause could be a loss of video. This could be on the main video board but I would be more suspect of the board attached to the panel. I am leaning more towards the loss of backlight over this however.

The only 47 HDTV Philips ever made that I know of are LCD flat panels. This is important because Philips does also sell plasmas and rear projection TVs. The cause of this symptom would be different for each type of technology. An LCD/DLP rear projection could be as simple as changing the bulb. Please resubmit the question if I have incorrectly assumed your TV's technology.

CPSC Home Page | cpsc.gov This could be a safety / fire hazzard issue. I have the exact same problem with model 42PFL5432D/37...It is running blazing hot and after 15 20 minutes "poof" it goes to a black screen - no picture no sound. When it cools down it starts again...but soon it goes back to the black screen (power light remains green). IfPhilips does not do anything about fixing these arching capacitors/ faulty power boards etc. report these safety issues to: www.cpsc.gov/ Consumer Product Safety Commission: official Federal Agency website, including recalls, reports, alerts.

www.cpsc.gov/ Consumer Product Safety Commission: official Federal Agency website, including recalls, reports, alerts. (800) 38-2772 You may also want to conatct your state AG's office for Consumer affairs. Consumersshould not have to pay to repair faulty electrical components most of them made in China! Most of the people havepaid over $1000 dollars for these units. They pose serious safety issues and need to be recalled.Enough is enough...Just because something is out of the warranty (amazing how these capasitors fail as soon as the warranty expires) does not meant that we have to pay for something that is defective / faulty/ crappy as in crappy capasitors and power supply boards...
