Question and Answers

Q:

How to remove broiler drawer from Tappan range?

A:

Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

We do not have a service manual to reference but I believe there is one screw at each front corner of the support that slides out and in. Once these two screws are removed, you should be able to remove the support.  You can view the parts diagram for Tappan range model 72-3651-00 at Searspartsdirect.

If you have to remove the rails/channel, there are likely a couple of screws that must be removed and then the rails/channel can be removed.

I hope this is helpful. If I may be of further assistance as more details become available, please reply to this post.

Thanks for contacting manage my life about your Tappan oven, model 72-3651-00-06, sorry you are having a problem, I will be glad to assist you. Unfortunately I have researched and have been unable to locate any data on this model. However based on the description of the issue I do think that there is a loss of power too the Clock and some other components. Having to reach back from my days of Field service I do remember that many Tappan ranges and oven had a fuse. As I recall the fuse was located on the back of the unit behind the panel, in the console area where controls are, or under the cook top, all depending on the model. You will have to search; I suggest starting with the line wire to the clock and going back to power source. If I remember correctly the fuse was a screw in style (ceramic).I hope this helps you, if you determine you need a technician out here is a link to Sears Services. Ron H.
