I did not find technical data or parts information for that exact model of Magic Chef range. I did find a parts listing for Magic Chef range model S68HA-3CXW. The parts diagram for the top of the range is shown in the image below.

Your details seem to indicate that the transformer on that clock is buzzing. If that clock is not used for the regular bake and broil operations in the range, then you may be able to disconnect the voltage supply and insulate the end of the wire using a wire nut or electrical tape to keep it from shorting out to the metal in the cabinet. Unplug the range or shut off the house circuit breakers to completely disconnect electrical power before accessing internal components.

If you want to replace that clock, then you may have a difficult time finding parts. You can recheck that model number and see if you can find a parts diagram for the range on this page: Magic Chef Range Parts .

You may be able to use the parts diagram to access the clock in that console. It appears that you will need to lift the cooktop and access the clock from the back side. As noted above, be sure that you unplug the range before accessing internal components.

If you need more help, reply with additional details.

Thanks, we were able to release the top, swing it up and unplug the clock. No cutting was required.
