Q:

my dryer stops model 110 669 12692 what could be causing that? Kenmore Electric dryer

A:

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when there is trouble with the dryer.

Glad to help out.   Im  looking at your Kenmore Dryer model number 110.66912692

Most likely one of your thermostats are staying open.  It could me a mixture of them so all needs to be checked.  You need an ohm/volt meter and know how to use it to check.  If you don't then you will need a professional.

When it comes to Electric dryers here are all the options to check on when not heating.
All can be checked with an Ohm meter for its continuity open or closed.

You can see all these on the link below when clicked on.

Heating element which is key number 14

Thermal cut off switch which is both key 47 and key 48 together

ON the back of the blower is thermal fuse key number 59

Also on the back of the blower internal thermostat key number 42

Make sure you always keep  your lint screen areas clean.

Picture of the heating or over heating parts to look at on the link below.

larry, thank you. The lint vents are clean as that was my first thought. I watched it all weekend and it would dry for about 15 minutes and then shut off (cool down) for about 20-30 minutes and then restart and dry for about 15 minutes and repeat the cycle. I can figure out how to use a ohm/volt meter if you can give me a quick hint. I have used them in the past to check continuity and for live wires so I am assuming it is similar. I could probably also just remove the suspect parts and take to a local supply house and I would assume they could test for me as well. Does my description of the situation point to a specific part or is it still open to a couple of the parts? Thank you for your time and advice. Rick

Hello glad to help.  Thank You for choosing Sears PartsDirect.com

I am sorry and do understand your frustration when working on the dryer.

I would suggest especially the 2 parts on the back side of the blower.   The thermal fuse and the thermostat at its side.

On the thermal fuse and thermostat.  SEt the multimeter to the Rx 1 scale and then touch the leads to the thermal fuse terminals to test for continuity.  If you get an infinite reading, it means the fuse has blown and needs replacing.   You can check both items in that way.

Q:

Band Saw information

A:

It maybe difficult to find the manual or navigate through this website. Luckily you did provide the model number of the band saw. Next time you can hit the tab that states Manual and once you have gone to the manual section it has a search box. Once you place the model number that you gathered from the item, hit search and the make and model should come up. Now sometimes you may have to delete a couple of numbers at the end of the model number, if it does not come up the first time. I hope that the instructions help when you are needing another manual.

I have trie everything you suggested, no luck. I of course can find something similar but how do I know what blade to buy if it is not the exact model? Also, what about ordering parts.

Thank you for your question.

I have checked our site and the manual is not listed. I did check the parts list and the manual can still be ordered. The part number for the manual is 69001 and can be ordered from this link . I also checked on the blade size and it is an 80-inch blade.

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

tension settings for Ryobi 9 in bandsaw. No matter how many times I put the blade on, when I start cutting the blade pops off. I have raised and lowered the lever the whole spectrum or settings up and down. The blade is riding true using a level between both wheels for continuity. The blade when spun manually runs true to center. The blade I am using is a 10 tooth blade and the wood is less that one inch thick.

My question is above about tension settings and the blade that keeps coming off. I got aggravated and called the Ryobi tech line. The blade they sent me is too thin for the thrust bearings. I had to order larger thrust bearings to help control the blade. It seems really stupid that they would ship a saw with the cheaper blade with the smaller thrust bearings. It seems as though they do not care that you buy a tool, and cannot use it. No where in the manual do they talk about the different size bearings or that the smaller blades do not work as it is shipped. Just for the record, they are three bearings for four dollars. Raise the damn price and include the bearings with instructions. I still have to wait about a week for the parts to arrive so I can use the saw. The smaller bearing size is part number 606zz and the larger bearing is 626zz.

I received the new larger bearings today that were designed for the 3/8 blade and now the machine is working fine. I have ordered a 1/8 in blade and I will see if it works with the larger bearings. There is only two sizes for the bearings so wish me luck. I will let you know the outcome.
