This model has 2 ovens. The oven lights are controlled by a replay on the digital electronic oven control board. That electronic control board also has relays that send voltage to the bake and broil elements of each oven. Your details seem to indicate that the control board lights up but that it will not go into the clean cycle for one or both of the ovens. That type of failure could be caused by a failed electronic control board. A sensor could be causing your problem but that is less likely. I recommend that you have a service technician diagnose and repair this failure. You can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .

If you want to troubleshoot and repair this problem yourself, I recommend that you unplug the range and check the wiring connections on the electronic control board in the console. The image below shows a wiring diagram for that control board. That will help you check those connections. If the connections are okay, you can check the resistance through the broil circuit that is not working. You can also check the resistance through the light bulb circuits using a volt/ohm meter (with the range still unplugged ). You should measure between 10 and 40 ohms of resistance through the broil element circuits from the control board. I don't have a resistance value for the light bulb circuits. Those circuits should measure continuity (some resistance valve other than OL -- open load and zero resistance). You can also check the temperature sensor circuits. Those sensor circuits should measure around 1080 ohms at room temperature. These checks may point you in the direction of your failure. If all of those circuits are okay, then you may need to replace that electronic control board.

You can order parts from this page: Kenmore Elite Range Model 665.98019801 Parts . Be sure that you unplug the range before accessing internal components and installing parts.

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.
