Q:

the range is showing EO and F2, what does that mean

A:

A non working Range is not something any of us want to see. If you are technically handy, this is a good site to get instruction and fix some things yourself. If you do not feel confident doing your own repairs, an option is to visit Sears Home Services and use the scheduler. While you wait for the expert to review your model, you can check the bottom links for some possibilities. Hope this is of help.

Thank you for your question.

I can understand you wondering what the error code means on your range.

The EO F2 error code indicates that the key touch on the electronic oven control has been activated to long or is shorted.

Push the cancel button for at least 5 seconds to see if the error code will clear.

Then remove power to the range for at least 1 minute and the restore power. Then observe the control to see if it comes back. If it does not, it will be okay. But if it does you will have to replace the key pad and if it is still there you will need to replace the control. There is not easy way for you to make sure of which part is bad.

You can read the information below but what it usually requires is that you replace the key touch and or the electronic control.

I hope this will help.

Thank you for using Manage My Life.

I understand your concern and there is no good time for a range to fail. I added a link below from a previous question that will answer your question along with troubleshooting information. I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your range. If you plan on troubleshooting the range yourself; disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing any panels.

Can we fix the error causing the E1 F5 fault code on my Kenmore range?

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
