Thank you for your question and I understand your concern.

The F2/E0 fault code will display if a key is held down too long or if one of the keys is stuck/shorted on the membrane switch assembly.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Q:

Why won't the glass top heat on my Kenmore range model 665.95172301?

A:

Some versions of this model have a cook top lockout feature. Check your owner's manual for your range. If your model has this feature, press and hold the TOP button on the console for 5 deliberate seconds to unlock the cook top lockout feature. Here is the owner's manual for this model: Owner's Manual .

If your model does not have a cook top lockout feature, check to see if the oven is heating properly. If the oven is not heating along with the cook top, then you could have a problem with the house fuses or breakers for the range. The control will light up if only one of the 120 volt legs of 240 volt power is supplied to the range. If the second leg of 120 volt power is missing, the range will not heat. If the breakers are okay, you can unplug the range and check the outlet voltage with a volt/ohm meter using the diagram in the image below as a guide. NOTE: You should only check this live outlet voltage if you are completely confident in your technical ability to safely measure it.

If the oven heats okay and you don't have a cook top lockout feature on the range then you likely have an internal wiring failure in the range since none of the burners will heat. I recommend that you have a service technician diagnose and repair this type of problem. Here is a link for the Sears Service website: Sears Home Services .
