Question and Answers

Q:

I'm getting a PF code and just replaced switch membrane 66592029100 Kenmore Range

A:

Thank you for contacting SearsPartsDirect.com with your question about your Kenmore Range. I am so sorry it is not working, especially since you have already had to replace parts on it. I will be happy to help you with this.

The PF code simply means that there has been a power failure to the range. This would have occurred when you disconnect the range to replace the parts. You will need to clear the code before using the range again. First verify there is power to the outlet. You may want to test the outlet by plugging a lamp or other small appliance into the outlet.) If there is no power at the outlet, check your breaker box. Once you have verified the issue isn’t the outlet, make sure the range power cord is fully plugged in. Then press the Cancel button on the electronic control. Then reset the clock.

I have included the link for you to view the Owner's Manual online in case you need that to reset the clock.

Owner’s manual for Kenmore range model 66592029100.

If this reset doesn’t resolve the issue please respond to this thread with additional information. (I.e., why the control board and switch membrane needed to be replaced) and I will be happy to assist you further.

I hope this answers your questions. If I can be of further assistance please respond to this thread. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

I tried the reset but none of the buttons on the panel will work . The clock has been set,Prior to me changing the membrane. I replaced both parts so I would have no issues but replaced the control board first and was getting an error code for membrane so now I replaced the membrane and the PF error is on. I can't clear it or change the time. But it is set and working (clock) so I don't understand there is power to the oven I unplugged it to change the parts only. I've even tried putting my original control panel back but it said the same thing of error so I swapped it out again and put the newer one back in. What can I do now please

Q:

Kenmore ultra bake self cleaning super capacity oven won't heat past 350 degrees, and now the broiler won't work at all. 66592029100

A:

Thanks for the inquiry and for using SearsPartsDirect.com.

I am sorry to hear about the range issues you are having with the rental, I know how important it is to have the appliances work for the tenants.

If it was just a matter of the temperature not heating past 350 degrees, it sounds like it would be an issue with the temperature probe sensor, however, with the broiler now not working, there could be an issue with the electronic control board as well.

For this type of issue, the best thing would be to have a technician help assist with the troubleshooting, as there could be multiple things going on, and without proper diagnosis with a multimeter, it will be hard to know what the issue is.

If you would feel more confident have a Sears Home Service technician help assist with the diagnosis/repair, click here to be directed to the page to set up service.

Let us know if we can be of any further assistance and thanks for using SearsPartsDirect.com.
