A:

I can see your concern about what the E1-F1 error codes mean to your Kenmore Gas Range. I found a question in Manage My Life under the Answers button that was similar to the one you asked. I think this question will give you some very helpful suggestions that might be able to help you. I attached the link below, I hope this helps!!!!!!!

The E1 F1 error code on this range indicates that the EEPROM (Electrically Erasable Programmable Read-Only Memory) on the electronic range control board in the console is bad. You can try to clear this fault by unplugging the range for at least 30 seconds and then plugging it back in. This will sometimes clear the code and the control board will resume normal operation. This seldom works but it is worth a try. If the fault code does not clear then the electronic range control board (part 8190201) will need to be replaced. You can order that part from the Sears PartsDirect website. You may be able to replace this part yourself. Unplug the range and remove the upper back panel behind the console of the range. Document the wiring connections on the original control board (take a digital picture if necessary). Remove the wires from the old control board and replace it with the new one. Reconnect the wires and reassemble the range. This should fix your problem.

If you need more help, submit additional details and we will assist you further.

If you do not feel confident repairing this problem yourself, then you can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .

Q:

Why is my Kenmore range oven only heating on hi broil.

A:

The best recommendation I can give you is to call a service technician. What you are describing will have to be sorted out by someone on site & with a meter.
