Q:

What is code E2 (red) and -F3- (green)? 66575173300 Kenmore Gas range

A:

Thank you for choosing Sears Parts Direct. I will be happy to help with your range. Upon researching model 2538688010; The E2 F3 error code indicates that the control detected an over-temperature condition in the oven. You can disconnect the units’ power cord for 30seconds and reconnect. IF the power error codes come back then you may have to replace the control board. I have posted a link of the control board below.

I trust this information will help you, Thank you for choosing Sears.

Q:

The oven of our Kenmore, model 66575173300, will not ignite. We hear the gas start, then it shuts off. What could cause this?

I can understand how frustrating it is to have your range stop working properly. This range uses a spark ignition system for the oven burners, and without that igniter the oven will not heat. Based on your symptoms it sounds like the igniter is malfunctioning and will need to be replaced. This is part number 8054130 and it can be order from the Sears Parts Direct . If you need additional information on how to complete the repair, just reply to this thread below. Thank you for using Manage My Life.

This range uses a spark ignition system for the oven burners. You could have a problem with any of the components in that system. Here is a link for a previous answer that discusses detailed diagnosis and troubleshooting for that system: Where can I find specific procedures for checking the control board functions on my Whirlpool gas range model TGS325MQ4? .

You may be able to use the troubleshooting tips in that previous answer to diagnose and repair this ignition failure in your oven. You can order parts from this page: Kenmore Range Model 665.75173300 Parts . Be sure that you unplug the range before accessing and replacing internal components.

If you need more help, reply with additional details and we will assist you further.

This can be a difficult system to diagnose and repair. If you get to the point where you need to have a service technician examine and repair the range, you can schedule service through this link: Sears Home Services .
