Question and Answers

Q:

My oven door will not open. The self-clean is not running.

A:

The safety features can sometimes stop working properly on a range and a situation like this can be upsetting. While you wait for the expert to review your model to respond, you might take a look at a similar question from a previous post for additional help. I attached the link below. I hope this information helps.

The E0-F0 code appeared because you held the key in. The oven control thought a key pad was stuck. Holding Off/Cancel for 5 seconds causes the clock to display the last error code it has displayed. If there are no error codes in the memory, E0-F0 will appear. This is normal.

I would not worry about the control not displaying Luc OFF. The owners manual was probably written for an earlier version than your control. Owners manuals are intended as a general guide. As long as the range is operating normally, I wouldn't worry about this type of differences.

If you have questions, reply on this thread and I will be glad to help.

The oven door opens now! Thanks for your help. I pressed Select Clean and then start. My plan was to run the Clean cycle to see if that would clear the system. I then noticed the broiler pan was in the oven so I pressed Off and then opened the oven door. Apparently it had to do sometime in the cleaning cycle before I could open the door? Should I run the entire Cleaning cycle now? The oven and burners are working fine.

Q:

How can I raise the top of my Kenmore range?

A:

The burner heads will need to come off first. If you have all of the screws out of the burner heads pull the burner head off now. It may be stuck on grease or something. After removing all of the burner heads use a putty knife to release the spring clips between the top #5 & manifold panel #6 & the top should lift up.
