Q:

Would a "F2-E6" fault code prevent my oven from operating?

A:

Whenever any failure/fault code appears it will disable the operation of the oven until repaired. It could have a failed Electronic Range Control or keypad/membrane. I added a portion of the fault code list in the image below.

I recommend calling a service technician to diagnose and repair your range.

Q:

What does F2-E6 mean in my Kenmore model 665.72133300 range oven?

A:

The F2-E6 message displayed indicates a "Cancel" key failure. The Cancel keypad is stuck.

You can disconnect power or unplug the range for a couple of minutes then plug it back in to see if the problem returns.

If you’re comfortable and confident in your do-it-yourself skills you can remove the rear access panel to the console and check the connections on the controls. Be sure to unplug the range first.

The image below shows a similar range and how to remove the console access panel.

If the connections are good then the membrane switch (keypad) will most likely have to be replaced. It can be ordered from the following link: Sears PartsDirect .

I hope this information helps to resolve this particular problem for you. If you have any additional questions then submit another question with any additional details for further assistance with this problem.
