Q:

How to replace orange temperature lights on control panel of 2002 Kenmore gas range? 66572014100

A:

Thanks for contacting ManageMyLife.com. I understand how frustrating it is having trouble the range display. We are here to help. Based on the symptom, I suspect a bad electronic control board or cold solder joints on the control board. If you know how to solder on circuit boards, inspect the control board for bad solder connections. Next, if you found some bad connections on the board, resolder them and see if it fixes the dim display. Otherwise, the control board needs to be replaced. The part number for the control board is 8190201. Instead of paying a technician to replace the board, I located a video that shows how to replace the board yourself. I hope this helps.

To order range parts, please visit SearsPartsDirect.com with the model number.

The control probably displayed an E0 or E1 along with that F5 code. The technical explanation of those codes and the troubleshooting steps are shown in the first image. The second image shows the oven door lock mechanism that is physically located on the back of the range (inside the back panel). The third image shows the full wiring diagram for the range and the 4th image show a partial wiring diagram for the clean cycle. This technical information should help you diagnose and repair your F5 failure. Follow electrical safety guidelines when using this technical data. Unplug the range when accessing internal components. You can access the control board and the door lock assembly by removing the back panels on the range. Check the wiring connections. Follow the troubleshooting shown in that technical data.

If needed, you can order parts from the Sears PartsDirect website. Be sure that you unplug the range before accessing internal components and replacing parts.

If you need more help, reply with additional details.

If you get to a point where you need to have a service technician complete this repair, you can schedule one through this link: Sears Home Services .

range will not turn on, screen shows E2 -F2-

A:

Getting error codes on Range can mean so many different things so it gets a little frustrating when you don't know what they really mean. While you are waiting on an expert to answer your question, I found a similar question in the Manage My Life website. I attached the link below. Hope this helps! http://www.managemylife.com/mmh/questions/106792-does-error-code-e2-f3-range

I am sending you a chart showing the error codes for your range. E2-F2 is not listed on the chart. Look closely to see if one of the numbers might be something else.

F2 codes are usually associated with the touchpad. Very likely the touchpad will be the problem with your range.
