Question and Answers

Q:

Time for a Replacement, which new models will fit the existing mounting hardware? 66569682991 Kenmore Microwave

A:

Thank you for choosing SearsPartsDirect.com and for contacting us with your question about a replacement for your Kenmore microwave. I am so sorry your current one needs to be replaced.  In this case, the manufacturer does not provide a list of microwaves that will fit in the same place as your old one.

To help make the search a little easier I recommend you get the dimensions out of the installation manual that came with the microwave. Once you have the dimensions of your current model, you can review the specifications on the new microwaves to see which ones will fit in the same space I hope this answers your question. Thank you for choosing Sears, we appreciate your business.

Q:

What is wrong with my Kenmore model 665.69682991 microwave when the oven cavity is black, I burnt some food by cooking to long, and it won't run?

A:

From the description of your problem most likely one of the fuses has blown.

The fuses are not considered major repairs but you must remove the microwave cabinet to access the fuse to check them. This is something a technician will need to do.

Microwaves are inherently dangerous to service. Internal capacitors can retain a lethal electrical charge even when the microwave is unplugged. A microwave radiation leakage test must be performed on the unit following any repair.

I recommend calling a service technician to repair this type of problem.
