You have to separate the inner and outer door panels and pry out chokes to access the screws to replace the handle on a microwave. I normally recommend having a service technician complete this type of repair. The microwave door has essential shielding in place. Following this type of repair, a microwave radiation leakage test must be performed on the unit using proper testing equipment. This is why I recommend calling a service technician to replace the handle.

I have added an image below showing how to remove the door choke to access the door handle mounting screws.

A radiation leakage test should be done after the repair to ensure the door is sealing.

Thank you for using Manage my life.

You can have it repaired at your home by a Sears technician. Here is a link for the website: Sears Home Services .
